Hamlet not only sees the imminent death of these men, but he is aware of his own imminent death. As demonstrated in Shakespeare's tragic play, Hamlet's attempt to come to terms with his existence pushes him to the edge as his loneliness overwhelms him. This is a melodrama created by Hamlet who tries to justify his behaviour by comparing Greek and devils Advocate mythological stories to his own life and circumstances. He does not know whom he can trust, especially since his mother has remarried hastily after her husband's death, and Hamlet has discovered that his father may have been murdered by his uncle. This encounter further pulls Hamlet away from reality as the ghost fills his head with ideas and a mission; Hamlet will revenge his father and kill Claudius. His mind is telling him to take revenge and kill Claudius, but his body does not obey him. Hamlet chastises himself for his failure and procrastination in regard to his father's murder. She has no choice, but Hamlet censors her strongly, rejects her and insults her. They, in turn, can't understand why he is drooping around and can't seem to snap out. This is why Ophelia is also pushed away as Hamlet struggles with his inner turmoil and isolates himself from not only his mother and new king, but his girlfriend and love interest as well. In Hamlet's speeches, we see that he is an existentialist.
